The Absorber
The water-conducting copper manifold is laser-welded to the absorber and therefore ensures the maximum possible heat transfer.
The innovative absorber fastening guarantees that the absorber is fixed precisely and reliably in position with sprung spacer strips. The defined spacing between the absorber and the pane of glass ensures a consistently high level of efficiency during operation. The absorber is thereby prevented from coming into contact with the glass and frame. A full harp ensures optimum flow in small systems and especially in large collector arrays.
The Coating
Another highlight is the absorber's highly selective, environmentally friendly coating. The absorption level of the incident solar radiation is 95%, and the emission level is just 5%.
For comparison: conventional black-chrome/nickel absorbers achieve approx. 90% absorption and 10% emission.
The manufacturing process releases no harmfull substances and uses only minimal energy.
The Housing
THe self-supporting housing is made of profiled aluminium and is powder-coated in a silver finish. A structural aluminium panel provides optimum protection against mechanical damage for the rear wall.
The Glass
The absorber is built with 3.2-mm-thick solar safety glass. Thanks to its low iron content of just 0.03%, the glass has a transparency of 92%. The internal prismatic effect reflects the heat radiation and tus prevents a reduction in performance. To ensure high break resistance and stability, the glass is heat-treated and will withstand a wind load of 250 km/h.
The Insulation
The insulation consists of 50-mm-thick environmentally friendly mineral wool. The edge is insulated all the way around without thermal bridges.
