A guarantee period of 24 months applies to the components and solar systems in accordance with SUNSET's Terms of Payment and Delivery. Furthermore, SUNSET offers a functional guarantee for the following products:

The functional guarantee covers defects in our products that considerably diminish the performance, impair the water-tightness of the roof or jeopardise the stability. Costs for installation or replacement are not included.
THe functional guarantee commences on the manufacturing date (see nameplace) or, at the latest, on the date of delivery to the end consumer.

Warranty or guarantee claims can only be asserted if:

• immediate notification is given in writing within 14 days of any defects that arise
• the products were stored in a dry place according to the instructions
• the parts, samples, photos or other pieces of information required for investigating the cause of the defect were sent to SUNSET 
• no parts were removed by third parties without SUNSET's consent
• the supplied components were installed according to SUNSET's installaion instructions and in accordance with the generally accepted rules of engineering
• the collector system has not been or is not exposed to aggressive media
• no damage can be attributed to the effects of frost
• the respective defect is not due to glass breakage
• the defekt is not due to inproper or unauthorised conduct by third parties or force majeure
• the commissioning and maintenance were carried out and logged in accordance with SUNSET's specified dimensions

At its discretion, SUNSET will either replace or repair defective products. Costs incurred for installation and transport are not included.
Responsibility can only be accepted for any guarantee costs if the guarantee applies in that instance and a written application has been submitted. We reserve the right to make changes in the interests of technical progress without giving prior notification.

Information on the "Blue Angel"
All SUNSET collectors have been awarded the "Blue Angel" in accordance with RAL-UZ73. SUNSET is therefore committed to taking these products back after use and forwarding them for recycling or environmentally sound disposal.

Our General Terms and Conditions shall apply; these are available from us for inspection.
